How a data driven industry operates its business

One of today's major challenges facing organizations is about isolated data which restricts access to data and sources. Furthermore, many of the methods in place are all but easy to use, making analytics more difficult to execute than is required. The data is ordered and centralized. Data-driven organizations  collect data from around the organization, to ensure the data is current and important. Don't restrict data collection to internal sources; there are many external sources of data that can and should be used in analytics (depending on the industry). Be mindful of what data is a potential threat, and how much you collect information overload. Today, several organizations are building up data reservoirs with a combination of internal and external data.
